Saturday’s Summer Stock The Pantry event squeaked by thunderstorms to collect over 300 bags of groceries from over 130 drive-by donors. An additional 250 virtual bags were donated through the NFSB website. The hard-working volunteers were terrific, the community was generous, and the Pantry shelves are so much fuller. Non-perishable food items are still being collected at the rear of the 169 Chestnut Street site or via the Virtual Food Drive. Our most sincere gratitude to all who made the effort a success, including especially Nutley Departments of Parks and Recreation, Public Safety, and Public Works. But the need continues, because food insecurity never takes a summer vacation!
NFSB is grateful to our community partners and the generous donors who support our Food Pantry and help to enable our mission of strengthening the emotional and social well-being of individuals and families.
