Volunteers

Volunteering

There is no greater reward than knowing you’ve made a difference in someone’s life. Individuals and groups are encouraged to volunteer with the Food Pantry, the Thrift Shop, our Neighbor-to-Neighbor Mentoring Program, and fundraising events. From teens to seniors, all ages are welcome. Whether you have special skills to offer or you simply want to lend a hand, we help you help others by offering volunteer training and ongoing support.

Grateful for Our Volunteers

Cheers to NFSB Volunteers!
We Appreciate All You Do!

Volunteers play a key role in supporting NFSB’s dedication to community service. The essential qualification for NFSB volunteerism is a desire to make a meaningful contribution to the community through the agency’s social service operations.

The Thrift Shop is always in need of help for retail sales, merchandising and inventory. The Food Pantry requires much assistance for food drive collections, stocking shelves, and distributing goods. So many opportunities to get involved!

NFSB appreciates the time and energy that every volunteer puts forth to helping the agency make a positive impact on the well-being of individuals and families in the community! If you wish to volunteer, please download the appropriate forms above.

VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION LUNCHEON

The NFSB Thrift Shop and Food Pantry run on generosity. The generosity of those who donate goods and the generosity of time and energy from the cadre of committed and enthusiastic Thrift Shop and Food Pantry volunteers. Without their service, the Thrift Shop and the Food Pantry operations would not be possible. Volunteers enjoyed a lovely outdoor appreciation luncheon at the home of Taji Karim-Reisch, NFSB Trustee. Peg Conca, Pantry/Shop Manager, and Katherine Carmichael, Executive Director, lead the effort to thank Thrift Shop and Food Pantry volunteers for all their dedication and energy.
